Kristie Pearls
Kristie has over 18 years of experience in the field of education. She graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a BA in Elementary Education. While teaching in the Hoboken Public Schools she started working towards her Master’s Degree in Special Education. She left the classroom in 2007 to become the Director of a Day Care where for two and a half years she ran a successful program and built her reputation as a caring and compassionate director. She says:

“I am excited to take on the role as Director of HLS and to give the families in Hoboken a day care experience that isn’t a sales pitch. The families at HLS will be part of my family and not just simply ‘clients’. It wasn’t too long ago that I became a first time mom - an experience that completely changed my perspective on day care. My goal is to most importantly provide the children with all the love and care they need and to treat each one as if he or she were my own. In addition, I feel it is imperative to take advantage of the time the children will spend with us and make sure they are not only well cared for but also educationally stimulated. I also intend to make sure the parents are 100% comfortable with their decision to send their child to day care and to make sure they feel supported as working parents.”

Kristie has recently completed coursework in Early Childhood Education which qualifies her not only as the Director of HLS but also as the school’s Head Teacher. In addition, she is certified by the Institute for Multi-sensory Education on the Orton Gillingham Reading Method. Kristie enjoys family time, reading, music and participating in charity events for organizations such as Autism Speaks and The Leukemia and Lyphoma Society.
